Forest Camp Activity Centre

climbing wallThis large wooded camp can accommodate over 1000 in a range of sites from large open fields to small clearings. The toilet blocks have hot water and showers, and are equipped with special needs facilities.

There are two buildings that can be hired, each sleeps 24 residents in a combination of room sizes. The 'George Begg' building is recently refurbished and boasts central heating and an excellently equipped stainless steel kitchen with commercial appliances, large fridge and freezer. The 'Lakeview' building has heating throughout, the kitchen has a selection of appliances and is better suited to more reserved catering demands. 'Lakeview' will undergo a massive refurbishment in late 2012. Both kitchens have crockery and cutlery provided for 50 people.

A brand new 12 metre climbing and abseiling wall has been installed for the 2012 season.

The 'Haven' is a large covered seated facility, for use as a chapel, outdoor classroom' or craft area, located within the woodland and decorated with a large wall painting depicting 'Scouting in Cheshire'.

Activities available include kayaking, rafting, climbing tower, traversing wall, archery, pioneering, orienteering, a small adventure play area (up to 10yrs) and a larger 'Low Ropes' course for those from 10yrs until 110 yrs, pedal powered go-karting  and a nature trail.

A large selection of all main high street stores are within a short car journey to Northwich town centre, nearer local shops offer the majority of everyday items in Cuddington village, online delivery can be arranged to the site. The site has a tuck shop selling sweets, drinks, ice cream and souvenirs.

The nearby train station's are at Hartford or Cuddington.
