Module 10a\10b First Response Course – South West Cheshire – EXTERNAL TRAINER

This course is primarily for volunteers in programme delivery roles from South West Cheshire, however if there is space available closer to the date of the course we are more than happy to open up to volunteers across Cheshire.

The first aid training – also known as First Response course – focuses on three main areas:

  1. Life support: The principles of first aid and initial response, emergency life support, CPR, choking, and causes and treatment of unresponsiveness
  2. Trauma and injury: Shock, bleeding, fractures and sprains, head injuries, dental incidents, and burns.
  3. Major illnesses: Asthma, anaphylaxis, heart attack, stroke, seizures, diabetes, sepsis and meningitis.

Please note this course is run by an external trainer and you will need to pay the instructor on the day. The cost is £20 per person and can be claimed back from your group / district with a receipt that the instructor will provide you on the day.
