Message from County Commissioner – Graham Phillips

“In my experience Amazing Scout Groups have three core elements; amazing Leaders, amazing programmes and amazing organisation supporting the Group. This conference will aim to explore these three key areas.

Key note speakers will include Andrew Sutherland from Berkshire who is the lead UK volunteer for the new programme planning tool and is now moving onto the digital journey. He is joining us to discuss Amazing Programmes and the role of GSL’s in driving opportunities through the balanced programme. Peter Thorpe from the Regional Development & Growth Service who is travelling from the North East to join us to present a session on “self help growth” to attract both young people and adults. Those attending the conference will receive priority with additional support if required (more about this on the day).

There will also be an Information Market Place with the lead Cheshire volunteers for areas that a GSL may need advice or information from, including Training, international Adventures, Inclusion & Diversity, DofE & QSA, Cheshire Hike, CuBe, Chamboree 2022, Campsites”.
