Calling all Sixers and Leaders!

Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we sleep under the awe-inspiring Mars artwork at Norton Priory Museum in Runcorn! This one-of-a-kind event gives Sixers the chance to explore the wonders of space up close, with a night packed full of science-based fun and activities. Don’t miss your opportunity to journey into the mysteries of the red planet!

Event highlights

🌌 Sleep Under Mars: Be mesmerized by the stunning globe installation of Mars, creating the ultimate cosmic sleepover vibe.

🔬 Hands-On Science Activities: Explore exciting experiments and challenges designed to inspire curiosity and discovery.

🍴 Late Night Supper & Breakfast: Fuel your adventure with delicious meals provided in two sittings for all participants and leaders.

Programme

When:
Arrival: Friday evening between 6:15 PM – 6:30 PM
Departure: Saturday morning between 8:30 AM – 8:45 AM

Meals:
Please eat dinner before arrival.
Late-night supper and breakfast are included.

What to bring:
Sleeping bag, roll mat (no air beds), pillow/soft cushioning.
Warm clothing layers – while the Atrium has gentle underfloor heating, staying cozy is key!

Where you’ll sleep:
Sixers: On the floor of the Atrium under the Mars globe.
Leaders: In side rooms adjacent to the Atrium.

Booking information

Cost:
£32 per Cub Scout (includes activities, supper, and breakfast).
£10 per Leader.

How to book:

All Sixers’ attending must be part of a Cub Pack that is attending with Leaders.

  1. Pack/Group leaders will register via Scouts EMS.
  2. Once a Pack has been registered with at least one leader, leaders will be able to register Sixers’ to attend. Parents receive an email at this point to complete their profile containing personal information, medical information, dietary information and allergy information.
  3. Sixers’ can be added and removed without any fees.
  4. On Sunday 5th February at 5pm – or when the event is full – bookings will close and no further changes can be made.

Norton Priory Museum

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
