Skills Day 2022
Come along and have some fun enhancing your practical skills as a Leader which will aid you in delivering even better programmes for your Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. This is an ideal training day for new leaders of every section and Module 18 will be validated on the day. It is also a way of completing some of your on-going learning (15 hours over 3 years).
You will have the opportunity to attend 7 sessions from all the skills bases on offer. Each skills base will run 45 minute sessions throughout the day and will be timed as below:

Each leader will be given their individual training programme for the day which you will hand to the instructor at the start of each session; this will be initialled and returned at the end of each session.
These completed cards will then be passed to your Local Training Manager to confirm validation of Module 18 (where required).
No uniform is required and refreshments and lunch are provided. Please dress appropriate for activities and weather.

Each leader who attends this event will be required to complete two ‘special’ sessions: Getting the most out of OSM and Writing Activity Risk Assessments and these will be included in your programme timetable.

You may wish to attend the whole weekend and work towards gaining an Activity Permit that you are interested in achieving. There will be limited accommodation in the Begg Building but plenty of camping space. Please see separate event for full information.
