Youth-Shaped Scouting in Cheshire

Youth Shaped Scouting means young people working with adult leaders to create their own Scouting adventure. This idea has been around since Scouting began over 100 years ago. The more young people help shape their Scouting experience, the more they’ll enjoy and benefit from it. This is why we want everyone, from the youngest members to older ones, to team up with adults and make Scouting amazing together.

Our Cheshire Youth Forum

What is the County Youth Forum?

The Youth Forum is a subset of the Trustees Board. Its role is to speak on behalf of all youth members in the County and give them a say at an important level. The forum also handles special projects or tasks assigned by the County Lead Volunteer and/or Trustees Board. We really encourage proposals for action from the Youth Forum.

Who is a member of the Youth Forum?

The Youth Forum is made up of District Youth Commissioners, elected 18-24 representative(s), plus two Scout and Explorer representative(s) from each District in the County.

The County Youth Commissioner Alex Dodd acts as the Chair. Joe Fuller (Deputy CYC) is the Deputy Chair.
