Young Leader Skills Day

Date: 19th October 2025 Location: Forest Camp Activity Centre Sections: Young Leaders

Come along and have some fun but, at the same time, gain knowledge and confidence in a variety of practical skills.   These skills will give you knowledge and confidence to help and support your leaders in the section you work in as a Young Leader.

You will have the opportunity to attend 7 sessions from all the skills bases on offer. Each skills base will run 45 minute sessions throughout the day and will be timed as below:

09.30 – 10.15 Session 1 14.00 – 14.45 Session 5
10.30 – 11.15 Session 2 15.00 – 15.45 Session 6
11.15 – 11.30 Break (refreshments provided) 15.45 – 16.00 Break (refreshments provided)
11.30 – 12.15 Session 3 16.00 – 16.45 Session 7
12.30 – 13.15 Session 4 16.45 Closing Thanks

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, but you will need to bring your own lunch.

Each Young Leader will be given their individual training programme for the day which will need to be handed to the instructor at the start of each session;  this will be initialled and returned at the end of each session.

These completed cards will then be passed to your District Young Leader Leader.

No uniform is required. Please dress appropriately for the activities and the weather.

Closing day: 3rd October 2025 or 120 places booked, whichever the sooner.

This day is provided for Cheshire Young Leaders free of charge, however if you book and do not attend a £5 fee will be applied and be payable.
