Happy Christmas from Cheshire Scouts
As we wrap up 2025, I want to share a heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, trustee, and supporter who has made this year so special. Together, we’ve empowered young people through adventure and teamwork and helped them take the lead in making a positive difference.
Scouting across Cheshire is thriving! More young people than ever are enjoying the adventure, supported by thousands of incredible volunteers.
Our Early Years programme is flourishing – 55 Squirrel Dreys, with 15 opened this year, giving even more young people their first taste of Scouting.
This year was packed with unforgettable moments:
- VE Day 80 – Cheshire Scouts represented the County at Horse Guards Parade in London.
- Cheshire Hike 2025 – 720 young people, 27,000km walked, 40 million steps, supported by 300 volunteers.
- Celebrating Success – Over 300 achievements recognised, including Chief Scout’s Awards and King’s Scouts, plus 11 King’s Scouts on parade at Windsor.
- Volunteers honoured in the King’s Birthday Honours and a Gilt Cross for Gallantry.
We’ve shaped the future through Summit25 and launched our journey to the World Scout Jamboree 2027, with our Unit now selected and more international adventures planned for 2027.
And the countdown is on for Chamboree 2026 – Animal Kingdom: with 5,000 already signed up, don’t miss out, secure your section’s place now. It’s going to be wild!
Thank you for everything you’ve done to make Scouting safe, inclusive, and inspiring in 2025. Here’s to an amazing 2026 – celebrating Squirrels’ 5th birthday, Beavers’ 40th, and Cubs’ 110th, and creating even more Skills for Life.
