Scout Climbing Competition 2026

Saturday 14th February 2026

Do you have a group of energetic Cubs, Scouts or Explorers who’d like to scale our walls in a bid to be the best?

This will be a fun competition with boulder problems and roped climbs (it is also for those wanting to have some fun and give climbing a go).

There will be members of the County Climbing and Hill walking team present, so leaders should only attend if they want to.

Cost is £17 per head. Equipment hire can be provided free of charge if required.

This year, we’re going to run 5 sessions each with a duration of 1.5hrs, each with 30 participants.

Cub Sessions – 30 cubs in each (5 groups of 6).

• 10:00 ’til 11:30
• 12:00 ’til 13:30

Scouts sessions – 30 scouts in each (5 groups of 6)

• 14:00 ’til 15:30
• 16:00 ’til 17:30

Explorer session

• 18:00 ’til 19:30

The winners will be invited for a climbing session and award presentation.
