Carl Hankinson, UK Chief Commissioner, recognises big achievements at Cheshire Scouts AGM

Held on 13th June, our Our Annual General Meeting took place at The Grosvenor Museum in Chester. UK Chief Commissioner, Carl Hankinson, joined us to celebrate the achievements of some of our volunteers. A variety of awards were presented, including:

70 year service award
Ken Salter (Member of Faiths and Beliefs Team and former District Commissioner Ellesmere Port & Neston)

60 year service award
Frank Hough (Vice President and former County Secretary)

30 year service award

A thank you gift was also presented to Trustees finishing terms of office on our Board.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
