Cheshire Scouts Newsletter
– 21 December 2020

As we move towards the Christmas break we wanted to thank all our Leaders across Cheshire for their commitment and dedication during 2020. This has been a challenging year for everybody and we know that many of you have “gone the extra mile” to deliver some form of Scouting.

Everybody at Team Cheshire hopes you and your family have a wonderful Christmas with fun, great food but above all a safe Christmas.

A message from the Chief Scout

For me, this festive season is about one thing: kindness

It’s something we’ve seen a lot of from our Scouts and volunteers in 2020. You’ve spent the year helping others, even when you’ve been having a tough time yourselves. You’ve done everything you can to support young people. And the way you’ve supported each other is truly inspiring.

I hope you can find some time to rest and recharge over the holiday (and wow, have you earned it).

Happy and peaceful wishes to you all – and here’s to a better 2021!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
