Forest Camp Activity Centre is a woodland campsite and activity centre based in the beautiful countryside of Cheshire, primarily offering outdoor experiences for Scouts but also to schools and other youth services. Tatton Park Activity Centre is located in the secure parkland of a National Trust property, Tatton is ideal for water-based activities as it has access via a private jetty to Tatton Mere.

To support and improve our visitor’s experience we are currently looking for Warden Teams to join our existing team.

Warden Teams

This is an excellent opportunity for a team of like-minded individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have the ability to manage themselves following a simple set of processes. You will be comfortable with there responsibility of helping to look after the Centre and supporting visitors who are using it.

Your team will come into the own during weekends when the team is the first point of contact for visitors.

What does the role involve?

  • Being present on site from 6pm Friday to 6pm Sunday
  • Meeting and greeting visitors and helping hem to get their equipment to their site
  • Staffing Reception and Tuckshop throughout the weekend and looking after visitors
  • Issuing and checking back in all activity equipment
  • Collecting fees from visitors on site
  • Ensuring our facilities are kept clean and tidy throughout the weekend
  • Being the Emergency Point of contact for all visitors on site

Team skills and attributes required

  • Ability to deal with people
  • Experience in working in customer facing roles
  • Love of the outdoors
  • Experience of maintaining a clean and tidy environment
  • Team of four adults: could be two adults and two over 16 years (e.g. a family unit)
  • At least one member of the team must hold a full UK driving license

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
