Let’s Get Scouting!
Clearly these are challenging times without face-to-face Scout meetings but there is still a lot of Scouting taking place in Cheshire. As its Easter the County Commissioner has recorded an Easter message that you can view here;

It’s Iceland!

Last Monday nearly 100 families from across Cheshire joined a digital presentation about our planned Explorer Belt Expedition in 2021. This will be the first ever County supported Explorer Belt Expedition that is being headed by our ACC Explorers (Graham Proctor), ACC Network (Ian Turnbull) and our ACC Events (Nigel Flatman). On the call they revealed that the location for the expedition will be Iceland. There is a special page on the County website that has the presentation in full, the video about the location and FAQ’s that are being updated on a regular basis. Scouting continues in Cheshire.

We are still camping!

Hundreds of Scouts from Cheshire are turning their bedrooms and gardens into camping sites and taking up all sorts of challenges for the number of nights they are camping. There has been cooking on open fires, virtual campfires and traditional camping activities. We have received hundreds of pictures proving that Scouting in Cheshire continues. See the latest collection of pictures below.

Let’s not forget the Adults

Without adult volunteers there would be no Scouting so it’s really important that we continue to support all adults connected to Cheshire Scouting. We also know that some of you are keen to continue your Woodbadge training so the County Training Manager and her team of Local Training Managers have created a number of courses they plan to deliver online with local support to validate training. The courses can now be booked on the County website at

Quiz Time

This week we tested our technology on a quiz for Leaders. This week we are planning to test a refined version based on feedback with the intention of making a weekly quiz available to anybody in the County who wants to join in. Watch this space.
