Modules & Missions
Welcome to Cheshire’s Young Leader online training hub.
Here, you will be able to complete modules online by learning practical and transferrable skills, processes and the principles of leadership. You can also complete activities and submit your evidence online via OSM. The only modules not available online are modules A & K. It is also highly recommended that modules G & H are completed either face-to-face or via Zoom (or another online Scout-approved meeting platform).
Cheshire’s vision is to make Young Leader training more accessible so that more young people can gain the YL award and feel supported in doing so. Our goal is to increase the number of Young Leader Belts being awarded by ensuring Young Leaders are being given a quality experience.
Below, we have set out 9 of the 11 modules required to achieve your Young Leader Belt award, along with the missions. Modules A and K include safeguarding and first aid and therefore must be completed either face-to-face or via Zoom (or another online Scout-approved meeting platform), delivered by the District YL team. You can complete all other modules using this online system.
How do I complete a module or mission?
Cheshire’s YL online training package has been compiled in close partnership with the Young Leader teams of Braid and Pentland Districts in South East Scotland. We are very grateful to our Scouting partners: Allison Gamble, Scott Robinson, Fraser Liddle, Ryan Schuller and Matthew Wilson.
